Waltham Forest Pride is inviting locals to take part in a new community-led photography project that commemorates LGBTQ+ lives, identities, relationships and communities.
The exhibition will be held from Wednesday, 24th to Monday, 27th July across a number of venues, starting at Winns Gallery and continuing at Soho Theatre Walthamstow and Walthamstow Library.
Organisers are looking for recent photographs taken between 2025 and 2026 that show authentic everyday moments of queer people in Waltham Forest, including portraits, friendships, family, celebrations and community connections.
Filip Glatz from Waltham Forest Pride Collective said: “This project is about visibility, expression, and community. We want to celebrate the everyday lives and experiences of LGBTQ+ people across Waltham Forest, in a way that feels authentic and accessible.”
The event is intended to highlight the diversity around us by creating a community-led portrait of queer life today.
Participants are encouraged to submit between one and three photographs, alongside image titles and short contributor details. The deadline is Tuesday 30th June 2026.
Entries that represent a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds, generations and identities from across Waltham Forest are particularly welcome.
Exhibition dates: 24th–27th July at Winns Gallery, followed by exhibitions at Walthamstow Library and the new Soho Theatre Walthamstow restaurant throughout July and August 2026.
