The workshops are taking place at Belle Juin Cafe in Leytonstone

A life coach has launched a workshop aimed at parents navigating burnout, which she says allows parents to share their experiences of parenthood.
Hosted on Sunday 21st January at the Belle Juin cafe, Gemma’s inaugural workshop promises a “transformative space” for parents to share experiences and equip themselves with practical tools to combat the challenges of modern parenting.
Parental burnout continues to plague households with up to 82% of parents in the UK experiencing symptoms according to a Unicef survey from 2023.
The mother of three facilitated an interactive session that fostered camaraderie and encouraged open dialogue among parents battling the phenomenon.
Speaking about her workshop, Gemma commented: “Parenting comes with its own set of challenges, and it’s vital for parents to have a supportive community and effective coping mechanisms. It is clear from this one workshop, parents need more support and a place where they can talk openly”.
The success of the workshop has prompted Gemma to run the parental burnout workshops each month, with the next one taking place on Sunday 24th March.
To extend her support further, Gemma is developing a comprehensive two-month course. This course, set to commence on 21st April will delve deeper into the complexities of parental burnout, offering a structured approach to self-care, communication, time management, and building support networks.
These are interactive sessions where parents can listen, learn, ask questions and share their experiences in what she describes as a safe space.
The workshop on 21st April will cover self-care strategies and help parents “understand parental burnout”, while the following three sessions will help with “communication and conflict resolution with siblings and partners”, “time management, cultivating resilience, and creating joyful parenting moments”, and “building support networks, goal setting and future planning”.
The sessions run from 7.30pm-8.30pm and are at Belle Juin cafe on Cann Hall Road in Leytonstone. The price is £25 per session and you can book all four sessions for £85. Spaces are limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to reserve their spots early.
