Walthamstow Village’s Three Rooms Gallery in Beulah Road is set to host an upcoming solo exhibition from one of the UK’s most exciting emerging painters, Emily Malone.
Opening on Thursday, 13th August, Love Letters From Greece is Emily’s latest body of work, exploring love, mythology and intimacy through her distinctive “pop-renaissance” style which she describes as a “vibrant reinterpretation of classical European painting that brings ancient themes into a contemporary conversation”.
Known for her colourful reimagining of erotic Ancient Greek pottery, she has a prominent online presence where her paintings frequently go viral igniting conversation around modern day interpretations of classical erotic art.
Emily says her work is “routed in the amalgamation of mythology, symbolism, explorations of love and desire” as well as her own personal life experiences.
She has already exhibited at The Other Art Fair London, The Other Art Fair Brooklyn, Fresh: Art Fair, Mall Galleries and Brick Lane Gallery, and is represented in London by Leontia Gallery and Art Friend Gallery.
Love Letters From Greece will be on show at Three Rooms Gallery (74 Beulah Road, E17 9LE) from Thursday 13th August until Sunday 16th August.
