A charity providing pathways to living-wage employment in the film industry in London has opened applications.
The scheme by ManifestWorksUK empowers people who have faced significant barriers, including homelessness, imprisonment, or time in local authority care, by giving them the skills, connections, and support needed for a career in film.
ManifestWorks has been successfully operating in Los Angeles since 2014 but is now offering its 11-week free training programme with hands-on, industry-informed training to people in London.
By the end of the course participants will be job-ready runners, the most common entry point to a career in the film industry.
On successful graduation, ManifestWorks uses its connections with the biggest production companies in London to match participants with paid freelance roles to gain immediate on-the-job experience and build professional reputations and networks.
The application deadline is Friday 21st August 2026 for the Autumn 2026 cohort.
To be eligible for the programme, applicants should be aged 18 or over, able to commit to an 11 week programme running on Saturdays in London and impacted by one or all of the following: homelessness, imprisonment, or the care system.
