A popular tented circus show will make its return to Waltham Forest next month.

The Revel Puck Circus is set to put on a family-friendly show inspired by the myths and legends of London at Fellowship Square outside Waltham Forest Town Hall in Walthamstow.

“THE RUCKUS: Everyone’s Invited” will run from Thursday 14th December through to Monday 1st January.

The folklore inspired circus show will take place inside a ‘spiegeltent’; a large travelling tent constructed from wood and canvas.

Audiences have been told to expect strong women, human-sized balloons, and “breathtaking” acrobatics at the two-hour show.

An earlier edition of the show held at Leyton Jubilee Gardens in July saw moonwalking acrobats, physical comedy, and acrobats somersaulting around a swinging chainsaw while 15 feet in the air.

Artistic director Luke Hallgarten commented: “We are delighted to be bringing a brand new location, and a brand new show to our home borough! A Spiegeltent is such a special space and it’s so brilliant to be able to offer a unique and different experience to our usual big top circus.

He added: “It’s also a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the fantastic Fellowship Square and it feels really special for us to be a part of the Square’s ever expanding cultural program.”

Refreshments including hot chocolates and festive treats will be available during the show. The show has been put on in partnership with Waltham Forest Council.

Rosalind Dore, the council’s commissioner for culture commented: “I’m really pleased that we are welcoming local legends Revel Puck Circus to Fellowship Square this Christmas alongside some great local traders offering tasty food and drink. It’s a great chance for residents and visitors to enjoy the best that our brilliant borough has to offer.”

Tickets are available from £12 and can be purchased here
