Man charged in connection with Lea Bridge Road stabbing

A man has been charged with possession of points and blades. The arrest follows a stabbing on Saturday that left two teenagers in hospital

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Leyton on Saturday night that left two teenage boys in hospital.

Solomon Brown, 27, of Elm Gardens, Chelmsford was charged with possession of points and blades and appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court yesterday (13th November). He was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing at the same court on 4th December.

The Metropolitan Police added that a 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of grievous-bodily-harm has been released under investigation.

Police were called to a restaurant on Lea Bridge Road in Leyton at approximately 8.50pm on Saturday (11th November) to reports of a “group fighting”. On arrival, they found two boys with stab injuries who were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
