Walthamstow FC has finally established a women’s team, aiming to grow its presence in local football and represent the community more fully.

The women’s team will enter the Greater London Women’s Football League.

The club’s vice-chair Andrzej Perkins, said: “The club wants to continue to grow and expand. We want to represent the Stow community; from adult men and women, to boys and girls at all ages. We already have an established youth set-up, and will have five men’s teams next season. But the next step is to grow into women’s football. And we cannot wait to get going.”

The women’s team, supported by 40ft Brewery, Misfit Gym, and Stow Smile Studio, are actively seeking players as well as a manager. Female footballers of Walthamstow, your club needs you!
