Carefully prepared hampers and goodies were also shared with a wide range of organisations supporting families, children, and individuals in need, including The Salvation Army, Blackhorse Road Baptist Church, Christian Kitchen, and Lloyd’s Park Children’s Centre

Eden Girls School in Walthamstow rallied over the festive period to donate over 100 toys, 70 gift hampers, and more than 300 individual hamper items, including hygiene gift sets, snacks, reading books, games, and homemade cakes and savouries.
Pupils also contributed approximately £150 in cash donations, which were used to top up the total and ensure every hamper could go above and beyond for its recipient.
These carefully prepared donations were shared with a wide range of organisations supporting families, children, and individuals in need, including The Salvation Army, Blackhorse Road Baptist Church, Christian Kitchen, and Lloyd’s Park Children’s Centre, with donated items totalling over £2,500.
Alongside these wide-reaching donations, Forest View Care Home and YMCA received an added personal touch. Gift hampers delivered to both organisations were accompanied by festive greeting cards written by pupils from Years Seven to Ten, each carrying messages of hope, kindness, and encouragement.

At Forest View Care Home, the experience was made even more meaningful as a small group of pupils visited alongside staff to deliver the hampers in person, filling the home with warmth, reflection, and joy.
Residents were visibly moved by the thoughtful gifts and uplifting performances, creating heartfelt moments of connection across generations. Meanwhile, hampers and handwritten messages offered comfort and reassurance to the young people YMCA support, ensuring that generosity reached individuals of all ages through both practical support and personal care.
The spirit of giving didn’t stop there. In another generous gesture, 50 hot food parcels were delivered to Christian Kitchen, a local charity providing meals and support to homeless and marginalised people in Waltham Forest. These parcels offered nourishing meals and practical help to individuals and families facing hardship, ensuring the pupils’ generosity reached some of the community’s most vulnerable.
Aamena Mayet, Principal at Eden Girls’ School, Waltham Forest, said: “It has been wonderful to see our pupils embrace the spirit of giving so wholeheartedly. From preparing hampers and writing heartfelt cards to delivering food parcels and performing for residents, their energy, compassion, and teamwork have made a real difference in our community.”
