A brand new art fair showcasing the “best fine art in East London” is set to take place in Walthamstow this month.

Coming to Big Penny Social on Sunday 22nd June, Yes! Art 2025 will feature over 60 diverse artists working across a variety of mediums including sculpture, printmaking, and painting.

The one-day event, held between 12pm and 6pm, will also offer visitors the chance to buy directly from artists, discover emerging talents, and engage in artist-led workshops.

In addition to discovering new art, guests will have the opportunity to have their portrait drawn by local artist Jason Hawkridge, participate in a ceramic stamp carving workshop, and listen to a talk by curator Karen Thomas on how to integrate art into living spaces.

Big Penny Social’s kitchen will be open throughout the day, and its menu offer includes hand stretched sourdough pizzas, as well as seasonal, vegan, and gluten free dishes.

Organised by Artillery CIC, the Walthamstow arts organisation behind the E17 Art Trail, Yes! Art’s stated goal is to make fine art “more accessible” to a wider public all while supporting professional artists.

Speaking about the upcoming art fair, Artillery director, Laura Kerry said: “Yes! Art is a joyful, welcoming space where people can connect directly with artists and experience their work in new ways.”

Stating the aim was to “create an event that feels like 60 artists opening their studios all under one roof”, Laura added: “There are few opportunities to encounter fine art outside the traditional gallery setting – Yes! Art is about creating one that’s open, vibrant, and rooted in the local community.”
