Several roads were closed overnight while emergency services dealt with the incident
A 16-year old boy was rushed to hospital by helicopter last night following a stabbing on High Road Leyton.
Emergency services were called to reports of the stabbing at 9.13pm yesterday (29th April). The Metropolitan Police told the Echo that enquiries into the stabbing continue and that the boy’s condition is “not life-threatening”.
The incident led to the temporary closures of sections of Osborne Road, Windsor Road, and Balmoral Road while police and ambulance services responded to the incident.

Waltham Forest Council told people to avoid the area while the roads were shut last night. They were re-opened by 8am this morning.
A spokesperson from the London Ambulance Service told the Echo: “We sent resources to scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
