These are the Waltham Forest stations affected by the upcoming Overground strike

Four stations in the borough will have no trains running before 8am or after 6pm on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th February

Walthamstow Queen’s Road Station is one of the affected stations.

No Overground services will be running before 8am or after 6pm on Monday (19th) and Tuesday (20th) on the Gospel Oak to Barking line, Transport for London (TfL) has said.

The disrupted service comes as RMT union workers plan to strike on 19th and 20th February.

Affected stations are Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow Queen’s Road, Leyton Midland Road, and Leytonstone High Road.

Overground stations on the Liverpool Street to Chingford line will be unaffected by the strike while London Underground, Elizabeth Line, DLR, trams and buses will be running as normal.

Outside the borough, the strikes will have the effect of closing Haggerston, Hoxton, Rotherhithe, Shadwell, Shoreditch High Street, and Wapping stations. The Stratford to Richmond/Clapham Junction line will also have no trains running before 8am or after 6pm on the 19th and 20th, as too will the Highbury & Islington to Clapham Junction/West Croydon/Crystal Palace/New Cross line.

TfL has advised customers travelling on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th to consider alternative routes and allow extra time for their journeys as other routes are expected to be busier amid the strikes.

This is the first of two 48-hour strikes by the RMT union over pay. Further strike action is also planned on Monday 4 March and Tuesday 5 March, with TfL saying it will provide travel updates nearer to the time.

Customers are advised to visit tfl.gov.uk/strikes for the latest information.
