The RMT action planned to start this evening has been called off due to new pay talks
Planned strike action on the London Underground is no longer going ahead after the RMT and TfL agreed to resume pay talks following a decision by the Mayor of London to provide additional funds.
Services were due to wind down from 5.30pm this evening, with little or no service expected between Monday 8th and Thursday 11th. The action has now been suspended – however TfL says there may still be some disruption to services this evening and tomorrow due to the lateness of the decision.

The RMT’s general secretary Mick Lynch said that an intervention by Sadiq Khan had led to the new talks between the union and transport bosses. He told the BBC: “”Following further positive discussions today, the negotiations on a pay deal for our London Underground members can now take place on an improved basis and mandate with significant further funding for a settlement being made available.”
He added: “We look forward to getting in to urgent negotiations with TfL in order to develop a suitable agreement and resolution to the dispute.”
