Very Hungry Caterpillar trail coming to Walthamstow Wetlands

Families are invited to the Wetlands tomorrow (Saturday 21st) for the launch day of a trail featuring illustrations from the much-loved children’s book

On Saturday 21st March, London Wildlife Trust is hosting the launch day of a vibrant, family-friendly trail, featuring illustrations from Eric Carle’s much-loved children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, running from 11am to 4pm.

Families will be able to explore the wetlands while discovering colourful creatures along a self-guided trail, completing an activity booklet as they go. 

Additional drop-in activities include nature crafts and pond dipping. There will also be storytelling sessions, and a Very Hungry Caterpillar character meet-and-greet throughout the day, with the first storytelling session at 11am, followed by a second at 1pm, and a third at 3pm.

There will be a character meet-and-greet at 12pm and 2pm. The trail and most activities are drop-in throughout the day (visitors are advised to begin the trail no later than 3pm).
