Local MP Stella Creasy has teamed up with the organisation Mums Who Build (MOB) for an event packed with talks, activities, and celebrity guests in Soho Theatre Walthamstow on International Womens Day (Sunday 8th March).

Speaking about the event, the Walthamstow MP said: “I understand why people are so concerned about the state of the world – and I know we won’t change it for better unless we plan for what that looks like and take action ourselves to get there.

“I can’t think of a better line up to help us fire people up to do that than Andi Oliver, Harriet Rose, Shappi Korshandi, Ashley James, Lapsley, Helen Pankhurst and Juno Dawson so me and the MOB are bringing them to the stage of our beloved Walthamstow Soho Theatre to discuss how we beat the old boys club. Everyone is welcome and all ticket sales will go towards helping the charity Furnishing Futures – a charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse”.

As well as the ticketed event, the festival features free talks and activities open to all to attend including Dr Helen O’Neill, co founder of Hertility, Actress Andi Ohso on menopause campaigning, Elliott Rae from Parenting OutLoud and the podcast To be a boy, Sophie Livingstone from Little Village and leading FGM campaigner Hibo Wardere.

There will also be stalls and goodie bags for the first 100 attendees and free exercise and movement classes. The day will finish with a performance by actress and poet Caitlin O’Ryan.

This event will be held at the Soho Theatre in Walthamstow on Hoe Street on Sunday 8th March from 12pm to 5pm with tickets nearly sold out. Get a ticket here
