The Met says its investigation into the Thornhill Gardens stabbing on Saturday 18th October is continuing “at pace”, reports Marco Marcelline

A 14-year-old boy has been left with “life-changing” injuries after being stabbed in a Leyton estate on Saturday night (18th October).
Metropolitan Police officers were called to Thornhill Gardens at around 9.20pm on Saturday.
The teenager was found with multiple stab wounds and was rushed to hospital, where he is still being treated for “non-life threatening” but “life-changing” injuries, the Met said.
A 36-year-old man from Leyton was arrested on Sunday 19th October on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but he has since been released without charge.
The Met says its investigation into the stabbing is continuing “at pace” and assured the public that officers believe it to be an “isolated incident with no wider risk” to the community.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.27pm on Saturday 18th October to reports of a stabbing on Thornhill Gardens, Leyton.
“We sent resources, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager.
“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in approximately five minutes. We treated a teenager for multiple stab wounds and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
