Decolonise Fest, a long running festival platforming the talents of people of colour in the punk scene, will take over Saturday, 6th and Sunday, 7th September at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road for what is promised to be its biggest event yet.

Ivor Novello Award-winning artist Master Peace joins the 2025 line-up along with rising British-Asian star Hyphen, art punk supergroup The None, and Ipswich alt-rapper Native James.

Decolonise Fest promises a two-day celebration of “radical ideas and solidarity” in the form of music, workshops, and panels led by people of colour from across the alternative arts scene.

Having started out from humble beginnings in the South London punk venue DIY Space for London, the seventh iteration of Decolonise Fest is the largest version of the festival ever hosted, taking place in the 300 capacity Signature Brew Blackhorse Road in Walthamstow.

Additional sets across the weekend will come from Ashaine White, The Genes, Steel, Dogviolet, Bona Rays, and Midwich Cuckoos.

Decolonise Fest has a strong reputation as an incubator of talent in the alternative music scene, with Nova Twins, Bob Vylan, Big Joanie, Whitelands, and Grove all having played previous editions of the festival.

Last year’s festival took place at Signature Brew Haggerston, and was headlined by Spider, Currls, and Dead Air. Most recently, the collective behind the festival have expanded the festival’s concept beyond London to host the Decolonise Fest: On Tour series, showcasing local bands and artists of colour in cities such as Glasgow, Birmingham, and Leeds.
