Walthamstow Bus Station taped off by police after violent attack

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries to his face

Walthamstow Bus Station has been taped off by police as they investigate a violent attack that took place on Monday night (12th).

Police were called at approximately 11.40pm to reports of a man assaulted in the vicinity of the bus station. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, believed aged in his 40s, suffering a facial injury; he has been taken to hospital for treatment – his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

A crime scene remained in place at the bus station as of 12pm on Tuesday (13th). Buses continue to stop at other nearby bus stops in Walthamstow town centre.

There have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances of the attack continue.
