There will be local specialists for on-the-spot repairs, workshops, second-hand bargains, refashioned must-haves and a free give and take, where you can pick up unwanted toys and items

The Reuse and Repair Fair is returning tomorrow (Saturday 15th November) at the Big Creative Academy in Clifton Avenue, Walthamstow, from 12pm to 5pm.
The event will bring together local specialists for on-the-spot repairs, workshops, second-hand bargains, refashioned must-haves and it will include a free give and take, where you can pick up unwanted toys, clothes and household items all with lots of life still in them, or bring your own good condition unwanted items for someone else to re-home.
This one day event pops up in community spaces across the borough throughout the year until March 2026. Each fair has a different programme of activities, some of which may require booking.
Saturday’s event will include an introduction to centuries-old Japanese mending and fabric reinforcing technique Sashiko where Mika Sembongi will show participants how to do the key stitches and traditional patterns.
Meanwhile, Oolo London will invite attendees to bring jewellery pieces to a workshop session where they’ll help turn them into something more personal, tailored and beautiful – (booking for this workshop is essential).
Unfortunately no dogs can be welcomed in the event.
