Monkey Bite is the latest street food vendor to join CRATE Walthamstow. Offering aged British burgers and Italian sausage bombs with salads, sides and dips, Monkey Bite is the brainchild of Gianluca Russo.

Gianluca also owns existing CRATE Walthamstow businesses The Drift, Grano Tenero Pizzeria and Condito Pasta, Monkey Bite is a new business, established earlier this year. He explains: “I already have three businesses which are thriving at CRATE, and I believe it’s the best place to grow this new venture.”

Its “mouthwatering” menu features high-quality, fresh products such as Italian vegetables and cheese, handmade chicken breast strips and British beef. Menu heroes include the Truffle Fries, the Londoner and the Monkey’s, which is made up of Italian sausage, friarelli, grilled smoked cheese, ketchup and mayo.

To celebrate its opening Monkey Bite will be giving away the first 15 burgers for free from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st December.

17 & Central’s Centre Manager, Gavin Cockayne, was delighted to welcome Monkey Bite to CRATE: “Condito, Grano Tenero and The Drift are three of our most popular vendors and I’m thrilled that Gianluca has brought a fourth food business to CRATE. Monkey Bite provides the kind of street food that we know our guests love – they’re going to be spoilt for choice!”
