Brendan Way’s twelve part podcast series, Welcome to Hole, will premiere on Wednesday 29th October with episodes released weekly

A Walthamstow resident is one of the faces behind a new “spooky” scripted comedy that follows four hopeless monster hunters solving mysteries in the fictional desert town of Hole, Nevada. Brendan Way’s twelve part podcast series, Welcome to Hole, will premiere on Wednesday 29th October with episodes released weekly.
The series follows a ragtag team (which consists of a trucker with a penchant for conspiracies, an eight year old girl with superpowers, a vampire hunter trained at the Vatican, and a government man in black) trying to save their small town from monsters and magic – with mixed results.
While the podcast’s “monster of the week” format is inspired by The X Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Supernatural, the storyline and characters are based on a tabletop roleplaying game played by the cast.
Brendan explains further: “We took what happened on the table, tidied it up, then added some extra gags and heart.”
The core creative team behind the show (Kate O, Natalie Haven, Duncan Thompson, Sean Toole, and Brendan) are a multinational quintet, mostly based in East London. They serve as both creators and cast, providing sixty voices for the show.
Brendan adds: “I’m really happy that we can share these characters with the world and we hope you love them all as much as we do!”
Episodes will become available on all podcast platforms from Wednesday 29th October, you can find out more here
