Convicted paedophile Timothy Harris, 46, sexually assaulted two children after being released from jail for raping a teenager

A convicted rapist from Leyton has been sentenced to 14 years in jail after sexually assaulting two children under the age of 13.
Paedophile Timothy Harris, 46, committed the offences after being released from jail for the rape of a homeless 18-year-old woman in 2016.
Harris, from Lea Bridge Road, was found guilty at Norwich Crown Court on Friday, 26th September of failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements, engaging in sexual activity in front of a child aged under 13 and four counts of intentionally touching a child aged under 13.
After serving a three-year prison sentence for rape, the sex offender failed to inform the Met Police that he was spending time in Norfolk, despite being required to.
Harris was arrested in Leyton on 18th December 2024 on suspicion of sexually assaulting two children in Norfolk.
He denied the offences when taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, but jurors found him guilty and he has now been sentenced to 14 years in prison with a further four on licence.
The officer in charge of the case PC Gary Ranger said: “These were abhorrent offences committed in breach of a court order put in place to manage those on the Sex Offenders Register carefully.
“He tried hard to cover his tracks by failing to notify police he had moved but was found out due to the courage and bravery of his victims.
“Norfolk police will always pursue such offenders both historic and recent to keep people safe and ensure dangerous and predatory offenders like Harris are brought to justice.”
