A free climbing day on Saturday, 6th September will celebrate Global Climbing Day, an initiative by The North Face

Walthamstow climbing centre Yonder is holding a free climbing day for all on Saturday, 6th September to celebrate Global Climbing Day, an initiative by The North Face.
Yonder, on 6 Hooker’s Road near Blackhorse Road Station, is a community-led facility with indoor climbing, co-working, studio space and a cafe.
The free day will include the options of participating in inductions where you will learn the key safety points of climbing, including centre etiquette, warm ups and cool downs, and some basic techniques to get you off the ground.
The climbing day is suitable for absolute beginners who have never bouldered before and want a quick session to get started. All equipment required is included.
Yonder advises those who want to attend to book a slot and complete a waiver online to avoid queuing on the day.
Workshops include a climbing technique session aimed at climbers of all abilities that promises to get people “out of their comfort zone”, as well as an introduction to competitive climbing.
