Big Penny Social, near Blackhorse Road, is transforming once again for the festive season – this year unveiling Walthamstow Curling Lounge, a brand-new winter experience located within Big Penny Studio, the venue’s new multi-purpose space.

Launching on 21st November, Walthamstow Curling Lounge puts a playful spin on the classic winter sport. All set in a nostalgic disco inspired festive lounge, this ice-free curling experience invites guests to round up the crew, grab a stone, and slide into the season with some friendly competition. Walthamstow Curling Lounge also includes a themed bar and dancefloor.

After a few rounds, players can kick back and refuel with a feast of Big Penny favourites. Think wood-fired pizzas fresh from the oven, juicy burgers, and hearty sharing plates perfect for keeping the energy up between throws. To wash it all down, there’s spiced mulled wine, creamy hot chocolates with optional boozy twists, and a full line-up of Big Penny’s own beers on tap.

Visitors are encouraged to pre-book their sessions, available from £10 per person for adults and £7 for children.

Whether it’s a night out with friends, a family get-together, or an excuse to show off curling skills to colleagues, Walthamstow Curling Lounge at Big Penny Studio is the place to be.
