Police are still searching for who stabbed a 24-year-old man in Brook Crescent on Tuesday evening (4th August)
Police are still yet to make any arrests following a stabbing in Chingford Mount that left a 24-year-old man in hospital with a head injury.
An investigation into the Brook Crescent incident, which occurred around 7.38pm on Tuesday (4th August), is still ongoing and the Metropolitan Police is urging any witnesses to come forward.
The stabbing victim’s injuries were deemed to be “non-life-threatening and non-life-changing”, according to police.
A London Ambulance Service Spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.38pm on 4th August to reports of a stabbing on New Road, Chingford, E4.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority by road.”
Concern has grown amid a recent spate of knife crime in Chingford Mount; this incident comes weeks after a 34-year-old was stabbed following an altercation in Old Church Road, while in February two men were stabbed outside a since-shuttered late-night bar in Hall Lane.
And in July last year, Tyler Hayward, 26, was fatally stabbed near the The Kings Ford pub in Chingford Mount Road. His father Matthew paid tribute to him saying: “He wasn’t part of any gang, just a young man with a future he was looking forward to, and a beautiful, caring soul who touched everyone he met.”
