Leisure centres to open doors for free activities next weekend

A huge range of free activities for all ages and abilities will be on offer across seven participating Better venues across the borough on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November

Better’s leisure centres across Waltham Forest will be opening their doors to the public on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November, offering a range of free activities and taster sessions to encourage people of all ages to stay fit and well during the colder months.

A huge range of free activities for all ages and abilities will be on offer across seven participating venues – Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre, Walthamstow Leisure Centre, Walthamstow Stadium Leisure Centre, Leyton Leisure Centre, Chingford Leisure Centre, Leytonstone Leisure Centre and Score Leisure Centre.

Activities include gym sessions, swim sessions for all ages, pilates, yoga, power pump, group cycle, tennis, yoga, social basketball, badminton and squash, HIIT, Zumba, tennis, mindfulness, fit beats, boxfits, circuit training and health checks.

Daniel O’Connor, GLL Partnership Manager, says: “Whether you’re a first-time visitor or someone who has been curious about joining our community, we’re thrilled to show you what we have to offer at our leisure centres.

“The Open Weekend is the perfect opportunity to try out our wide range of free activities and meet our friendly teams – you might make new friends and discover a talent you didn’t know you had!”
