London’s biggest comedy short film festival is coming to Walthamstow’s Big Penny Social on Friday (14th November).

Taking place from 7pm, Giggle Film Festival will showcase up-and-coming comedy talent on a giant screen to a live audience.

Films on the programme include the six minute short C U Next Tuesday, directed by Eden Sandy, which sees protagonist Nora struggling to keep her dignity intact while trying to book a GP appointment over the phone with an intrusive and overly inquisitive receptionist.

Meanwhile, The Hat Method, directed by Erfili Missiou, depicts keen bean Alex discovering that trying to be friends with your boss never ends up favourably.

And the 18-minute comedy The Trophy King by Tighe Boudreaux Kellner sees an “inept” salesman’s robbery fall apart when his partners in crime rob him in the process.

After the films wrap up (just after 10pm), the night continues for those that wish to stay, with music and a dance floor open late.
