Waltham Forest’s annual LGBTQ+ pride will take place in the William Morris Gardens and Lloyd Park Island in Forest Road, London on Saturday, 19th July.

Organising the event is London-based LGBTQ+ mental health charity elop, who have given support to the LGBTQ+ community in Waltham Forest for over 26 years.

Taking place from 2pm to 8pm, the talent and contributions of Walthamstow’s local LGBTQ+ community will be on display in a family-friendly celebration.

There will be bars serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plus some traders serving food and snacks – or bring your own picnic. The event will offer a range of stalls providing information, activities.

Range of performances will take place from 5.00pm, including Bollyqueer dancers, PJ Taylor, Outskirt, Scarlet Diamonte, Hannah Chutzpah, and Juliet Regrets. Jonny Woo and pianist Rudi Douglas will be ending the show singing ‘the songs that make us gay’ with the Big Gay Songbook.

There will be opportunity to join in some activities between 2 – 4.30 pm including yoga (bring mat if you can), ecology walk & activities for children (football skills, parachute games and more).

The event is taking place in the Terraced Gardens (behind the William Morris Gallery) and on the island. The regular Lloyd Park Market will be taking place 10am – 4pm with a selection of street food and snacks to buy.

elop are looking for volunteers to support them in taking care of the celebrations for Waltham Forest Pride 2025, including stewards and ticket checkers.

The roles that they’re looking for are door host, supporting entrances with ticketing, distributing wristbands for the day and welcoming guests, supporting VIPs, and backstage stewards.

Safety stewards, making sure areas are kept clear and reporting of any hazards, keeping an eye out for any safety risks and ensuring pedestrian safety.

Access to the event requires a free ticket. Wristbands will be given allowing entry and re-entry.
