A woman in her 30s told police she was raped on Sunday morning (29th June)

Police are investigating a reported rape in Walthamstow Town Square at 6am yesterday morning (29th June).
The victim is understood to be a woman in her 30s.
A large section of the town square, which sits between the High Street and Selborne Road, was cordoned off by police yesterday.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, the Metropolitan Police has said.
A Met spokesperson said: “Police are investigating after a woman reported that she had been raped in Walthamstow Town Square in the early hours on Sunday, 29th June.
“Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene is in place.”
Writing on social media, Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy said: “Walthamstow I am as horrified as you will be to see this – I am seeking an urgent statement from the police and in the meantime if you were in the area or have any information about this heinous crime please do forward.”
