The works include a new roof with solar panels, new lighting, and upgrades to its swimming pool

Leytonstone Leisure Centre has unveiled a £2.5m refurbishments including a new roof, improved interiors and upgraded swimming pools.
The new roof has solar panels aimed at reducing the building’s energy consumption, while inside the leisure centre, visitors can find a new reception area and meeting room.
Soft play area equipment has been renewed and LED lighting added to the gym.
In addition, the swimming pool facilities had an upgrade over Christmas and New Year. The work included replacing pool pumps, refreshing aesthetic elements such as pool inlets and outlets and renewing the grouting throughout both pools.
Daniel O’Connor, GLL Partnership Manager, says: “Leytonstone Leisure Centre has had a major upgrade and we are delighted with the results.
