Man rushed to hospital after Leyton stabbing

A man in his 20s was arrested on Grange Park Road this afternoon on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon

A man aged in his 50s was rushed to hospital following a reported stabbing on Grange Park Road in Leyton this afternoon. It is unclear how severe his injuries are.

A second man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a weapon. He was taken into custody where he remains.

Metropolitan Police officers attended the scene shortly after 3.55pm alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Waltham Forest Council has issued a post on X stating that traffic restrictions are currently in place between Goldsmith Road, Primrose Road, and Grange Park Road. A photo shared with the Echo shows that a stretch of Primrose Road has been cordoned off by police.
