Chingford Hatch Post Office re-opened on 1st August in a new location at Premier at 50-52 Hatch Lane.

This has restored Post Office services to the area after the temporary closure of the branch at 19 Hatch Lane last July due to the resignation of the postmaster.

The new premises will have a wide door with a step at the entrance. Internally, there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair.

The new branch is approximately 350 metres away from the previous branch, along mostly level terrain. Parking is available directly outside the new premises.

The post office’s opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6 pm, which provides 48 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers. A similar range of Post Office services are available as before, however, excluding Vehicle Tax and Dollars Travel Money.

Mohammed Islam, Post Office Network Provision Manager, said: “We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to this area as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
