Police were called to an injured man on Leyton High Road at 7.25am this morning

A man was taken to hospital with injuries to his head following an assault on Leyton High Road this morning.

Police were called to the injured man at around 07.25am today (19th May).

In a statement to the Echo, the Met said there has been no arrest and enquiries into the assault continue.
