Police launch urgent appeal after attempted sexual assault in Walthamstow

A woman was followed and attacked by a stranger on Chingford Road, Walthamstow on Monday night

Police are urgently appealing for information after a woman was followed and attacked by a stranger on Chingford Road, Walthamstow on Monday night (1st August).

According to a public statement posted by the Met, the suspect is described as a white male of approximately 40-50 years old, of a skinny build, and approximately five feet nine inches tall. 

He reportedly attempted to sexually assault the woman, aged in her 30’s on Chingford Road, E17. 

Police were called at 11pm on Monday 1st August and attending offices found the woman in a distressed state.
