A W19 bus collided with a car before ploughing into a tech repair shop on Markhouse Road at around 7.30am today (19th October), reports Marco Marcelline

Traffic drama ensued this morning (19th October), after a W19 bus collided with a car before ploughing into a shop on Markhouse Road, Walthamstow.
The incident, which occurred at around 7.30am, saw the road shut for over an hour while emergency services dealt with the situation.
No injuries were reported, though a patient was assessed by paramedics before being discharged at the scene.
The crash caused damage to a wall and signage of a tech and mobile phone repair shop, with owner Nads telling the Echo the incident meant he was unable to open his shop in the morning.
He said: “I can’t enter the shop because the shutters won’t open fully; from what I’ve seen of the inside there are shelves full of laptops and tech on the floor.”
While the cause of the incident is under investigation by the bus operator Stagecoach and Transport for London (TfL), Nads said the driver of the car involved in the crash “attempted to overtake the bus” when it was turning into Markhouse Avenue from Markhouse Road.

A Transport for London (TfL) spokesperson said: “There was a collision involving a car and a bus today in Waltham Forest where the bus then made contact with a nearby shop.
“Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Safety is our top priority, and we are currently working with the operator, Stagecoach, to establish what happened.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.40am today to reports of a road traffic collision on Markhouse Avenue, E17.
“We sent an ambulance crew and paramedics from our hazardous area response team (HART) to the scene. We assessed a patient and discharged them at the scene.”
Markhouse Road was fully reopened to traffic by 10am this morning.
