Walthamstow FC has launched a girls’ section for the 2026-27 season.
Three teams will become part of the club, playing at U18, U16 and U14 in the Essex Girls League.
Walthamstow FC said the move marked “another huge step in the development of the club, as we continue to grow and represent the community”.
The club’s vice chairman Andrzej Perkins said: “I’m delighted to welcome the players, parents and management to the Walthamstow FC family.
“These will not just be teams playing under the Walthamstow name, as is the case with many youth teams in our area. They will be a true part of the club, and will contribute to any success we have in the future.
“They will form a pathway to the women’s first team, and we’re excited to continue to expand our youth set-up.”
