Teen rushed to hospital after being stabbed by ‘group’ in Leyton street

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Primrose Road, Leyton yesterday evening (9th September), reports Marco Marcelline

A 16-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with stab injuries from an alleged group attack in Primrose Road, Leyton last night (9th September).

Metropolitan Police officers were called to reports of an assault in Primrose Road at 8.46pm yesterday (9th September), and found the injured teenager. 

He was rushed to hospital where his injuries were later confirmed as “neither life-threatening nor life-changing”, police said.

No arrests have yet been made, and a crime scene that remained open while officers conducted enquiries has now been closed. 

Enquiries are ongoing, and police are urging witnesses of the alleged group attack to come forward with information.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.45pm on Tuesday 9th September to reports of a stabbing on Primrose Road.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a teenager at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
