The independent coffee roasters are preparing to open their latest outlet in the borough on Thursday 19th June, writes Sophie Mitchell

Independent coffee roasters, founded in Walthamstow in 2015, are to open a new branch of their coffee franchise.

Perky Blenders began as a coffee cart near Walthamstow Station, today it still has a kiosk location on the High Street and a shop in CRATE Food Hall, in addition to five other outlets around East London.

The new Hoe Street location is a short walk from Walthamstow Station and will include a retail space featuring products from local small businesses.

Co-founder of Perky Blenders, Victoria Couzens said: “Walthamstow is where we roasted our first beans, poured our first flat whites, and met the people who believed in us. Opening another store here is more than expansion, it’s a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community.”

Their official opening event on Thursday, 19th June will include a ribbon cutting ceremony with Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy.

The new Hoe Street shop is open Sunday to Thursday: 7am to 4pm, Friday to Saturday: 7am to 5pm.
