Another 14-year-old boy was arrested for affray and possession of a blade. The stabbing took place just before 5pm yesterday, reports Marco Marcelline

A 14-year-old boy suffered multiple stab wounds following an incident in Wood Street, Walthamstow yesterday afternoon (15th May).
The severity of his injuries are not yet known.
Paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene at around 5pm yesterday and rushed him to hospital.
Met Police officers arrested a 14-year-old boy from Waltham Forest for affray and possession of a bladed article. The Echo understands that enquiries are ongoing to identify another suspect.
Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy issued a statement yesterday saying: “The police have confirmed that following an altercation a young man has been stabbed… I ask you not to speculate further on what has happened out of respect to his family.”
A section of Wood Street was shut between Marlowe Road and Vallentin Road while police officers dealt with the incident yesterday and Waltham Forest Council issued a statement urging locals to avoid the area.
Wood Street has since fully reopened.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 5pm yesterday to reports of a stabbing in Walthamstow. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes. We treated a teenage patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.
