Police are appealing for assistance from the public after four people were shot with a BB gun in the Blackhorse Road area last Thursday (6th February).

The incident took place around 6.55pm in and around Forest Road, near Blackhorse Road Station.

Air guns use compressed air or gas to launch projectiles, and BB guns are a type of air gun that fire plastic pellets.

The four victims all suffered minor injuries. The Echo understands that at least three were women.

One woman was running near the Tesco Express at 10 Forest Road when she was shot, and took to Facebook to thank those who rushed to help her.

She said: “Thank you so much for your kindness…I’m choosing to focus on how amazing our community is rather than the horrid action of one person. Huge special thanks to the lovely kid that stood next to me to check I was ok, the police, the paramedics, and the Tesco security guard.”

There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.

Anybody who witnessed the incidents – or who has relevant information – should contact the Metropolitan Police Service on 101, quoting crime reference 5971/06FEB25
