A Metropolitan Police officer from Waltham Forest has been charged with four counts of rape related to incidents that are said to have taken place between 2011 and 2016.
PC Robert Wing, 57, who was attached to the Met’s Specialist Operations unit, is also accused of two counts of sexual assault by penetration and one of sexual assault.
PC Wing did not enter any pleas when he appeared Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (27th August) to confirm his name, age and address today.
According to Scotland Yard, he was arrested on 1st March 2023 on suspicion of rape and suspended from the Met, with the force’s Directorate of Professional Standards promptly informed.
PC Wing was granted bail and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 24th September.
