Lloyds Bank is set to shut its Walthamstow High Street branch on 22nd October this year, as part of a total of 136 branch closures across the UK by March 2026.
The banking group today announced it will shut 61 Lloyds, 61 Halifax, and 14 Bank of Scotland branch sites between May this year and March 2026.
Lloyds said that all workers affected by the closures will be offered alternative roles within the lending group.
A spokesperson for the banking group said: “Over 20 million customers are using our apps for on-demand access to their money and customers have more choice and flexibility than ever for their day-to-day banking.”
Lloyds Bank is currently located just outside 17&Central, at 180, 182 High Street Walthamstow.
