Palm Greens’ co-founders Kali and Memby Jago will be offering curious food lovers a ‘veg-forward menu’ with flavours from around the world at Loop from 22nd to 24th August

On 22nd, 23rd and 24th August, plant-based chef Kali Jago of Palm Greens will be taking over Loop, an intimate space in Leyton (E10), hosting regular rotating residencies.
Recently opened by the team behind Marmelo, Loop showcases talented chefs wanting to experiment, be creative, and bring fresh flavours to the local community.
Following in the footsteps of Fabrizio Ricotta and Eric Wan of Là Lot—the first two chefs to reside at Loop—Palm Greens’ co-founders Kali and Memby Jago will be offering curious food lovers a veg-forward menu featuring their most loved influences from around the world.
With their experience of hosting regular supper clubs and events and creating culinary experiences, guests, looked after by Memby, can also expect a relaxed and fun summer vibe.
To start, there’ll be dishes like her signature Aguachile, a firm favourite on Palm Green’s supper club menus. The fresh and spicy dish features fresh corn, tomatoes, and rainbow beets.
Since returning from a trip to Indonesia last year to reconnect with Memby’s Indonesian heritage, Aubergine Balado has been another of Kali’s favourites. Served whole on a bed of light and fluffy fava bean purée and topped with sambal, this is a spicy, rich, and satisfying dish.
Other highlights include Palm Greens’ popular Tostadas and Butterbean in lemongrass, coconut tomato broth, topped with shiso herb salad, and puffed wild rice.
To finish, there’ll be desserts such as almond, fennel and strawberry with matcha cream.
