The crash caused police to tape off a section of Lea Bridge Road for hours yesterday

Two people were injured following a collision between a car and a bike on a Leyton street yesterday morning.
Police were called to Flempton Road at around 4.50am on Monday (11th March) to reports of a crash. There were no life-changing or life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash, a police spokesperson told the Echo.
The spokesperson added that there have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
Police taped off the junction of Flempton Road with Lea Bridge Road following the crash and only reopened it yesterday afternoon.
Social media users commented that the road closure caused traffic that backed up for half a mile. The closure also led to the diversion of 55 and 56 bus routes.
