Roman Road Thai joint Mum Likes Thai Food is opening a new branch in Leytonstone at the end of August.

The menu includes classic green and red Thai curries, dumplings, massaman curry with chicken, Thai spiced minced chicken, tom yum soup, Thai fish cakes and, of course, pad thai. The drinks menu includes a bourbon tea that is sweetened with lemon liquor rather than sugar and lemon. The food at the restaurant caters to all types of dietary requirements.

As The Leytonstoner notes, the restaurant is moving into the spot that once contained closed Petch Sayam. Sayam was forced to shut after a council inspection in 2020 found evidence of rats and mice, as well as filthy kitchen conditions.
