More than 100 Father Christmases went “dashing through the Stow” this month as part of a festive 5K run.

Runners met in costume at Waltham Forest Town Hall on 11th December to start the race through the borough.

The event marked the third annual Santa run since 2018, after the event was cancelled due to Covid last year.

The fastest Father Christmas was Andrew Bierer, who completed the race in a little under 19 minutes, while the speediest Ms Claus was Melanie McKay.

All runners were rewarded with a mince pie and free coffee from Fellowship Foods cafe at the end.
