Police have arrested two young men from the borough after a man was shot to death in Haringey.

Sharmake Mohamud, aged just 22, died on 21st September after he was shot in Green Lanes, near Finsbury Park.

Two other men were also shot that night but survived their injuries and have since left hospital.

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed two young men from the borough - both in E17 - were arrested in connection to the bloodshed today.

In total five men, ranging in age from 24 to just 14 years old, were arrested this morning at addresses in north and east London.

Previously, the day after Sharmake's death, four men in their early 20s were arrested and let go, while a fifth was charged with murder.

Police continue to investigate the crime and ask anyone with information to call them on 101 quoting CAD 8093/21Sep.
