Ninth edition of the UK’s pioneering festival celebrating punks of colour returns to Signature Brew Blackhorse Road this October
A radical music festival centering punk musicians of colour will return to Blackhorse Road venue Signature Brew in October.
FROZEMODE, Miki Berenyi, Third Kulture, Hang Linton, Silver Tabby and TM Distant have been announced as the final artists joining the line-up for Decolonise Fest 2026, completing the music programme for this year’s festival.
They join previously announced artists Sacred Paws, Baby Said, Uninvited, Mashaal, eatboys. and Dygora when Decolonise Fest returns to Signature Brew Blackhorse Road on Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th October for two days celebrating punks and alternative artists of colour through live music, community, workshops and discussion.
Now entering its ninth year, Decolonise Fest has grown from its grassroots beginnings at DIY Space for London into one of the UK’s leading platforms championing artists of colour across punk and alternative music.
The 2026 edition will be the festival’s biggest to date, bringing together twelve live acts alongside a programme of workshops, panel discussions and creative activity celebrating music, solidarity and collective action.
Alex Ekong, spokesperson for Decolonise Fest, said: “This is our ninth year running Decolonise Fest and we’re so excited to host another festival packed with an amazing representation of the genre-bending, forward-looking POC alternative music that is around today.
“We are grateful to Arts Council England and Supporting Grassroots Music Fund for helping fund this year’s event again. Spaces like this are important for so many music lovers who seek an inclusive event where they can become part of a community.”
Since launching in 2017, Decolonise Fest has established a reputation as an incubator for some of the UK’s most exciting alternative artists, with previous editions featuring Nova Twins, Bob Vylan, Big Joanie, Whitelands and Grove before their wider breakthrough.
Last year’s festival featured performances from Hyphen, Master Peace, Ashaine White, The None and Native James, while the festival’s Decolonise Fest On Tour series – supported by PRS Foundation – has expanded the festival beyond London, showcasing artists of colour in Glasgow, Birmingham and Leeds throughout 2024 and 2025.
A full programme of workshops and panel discussions, led by people of colour working across music, activism and the creative industries, will be announced in September.
