The London Fire Brigade has warned parts of the Epping Forest such as Hollow Ponds, Leyton Flats, and Wanstead Flats are at extreme risk of wildfires

An extreme wildfire warning has been issued for Epping Forest by the London Fire Brigade (LFB) due to conditions such as high temperature, wind speed, and humidity.
In their appeal to residents, the LFB reminded visitors to Epping Forest that fires and barbecues are “never permitted”, and to take all litter home as discarded trash can increase the risk of fires starting and spreading.
They also advised smokers to discard cigarettes responsibly, whether they are walkers or driving through the forest.
The warning comes just days after a huge blaze ripped through gardens and homes in Walthamstow.
If you see a fire or barbecue in Epping Forest, report it to 02085321010
