Crews from Leyton and Leytonstone fire stations raced to the scene, and the fire was under control by 8.11am.

Photos snapped of the fire show the car completely engulfed by a huge fireball. In pictures taken after the fire was put out, the car’s front engine appears to be completely destroyed, with the front wheel tyres melted.

The fire comes just one day after another car caught fire on Peterborough Road in Leyton on Wednesday afternoon. No injuries were reported in that fire, the LFB said, and it is unclear if it was electric or not.
