The Olympian sprinter from Newham is the second-fastest Briton in his specialism of the 200-metre race and 4 x 100-metre relay.

He said: “I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store; it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB.”

Aldi has been the official supermarket of Team GB for nearly ten years, providing athletes with monthly vouchers for their food shop.

Aldi Store Manager Summer Willfang said: We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Leytonstone. It’s set to be a special day, and having Olympic hero Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake join us will make it a morning to remember.”

The new store will be located at 829 – 837 High Road, Leytonstone, E11 1HH, taking over the former Matalan site.
